Personality & Background

PersonalityBen, being a mouse he is quite wary of strangers; though once he gets to know someone well enough he's quite friendly. He is reserved around people, and is quite humble about his acting accomplishments, rarely mentioning them to anyone whom he's not trying to audition for.
BackgroundHis parents were eaten a cat whom had forgotten her lunch on the way to work one day when Ben was about 9. He managed to scratch out some sort of a life for several weeks before he was found be a human boy by the name of Elias Stannson. Eli took pity on the poor mouse and invited him into his home. Having also lost a parent at a young age, Elias was sympathetic towards Ben; as was his mother, who raised the young mouse as though he were her own. The two became like brothers, and Elias would take Ben to school, hiding him in his bag so that he could get some sort of education. Ben fell in love with literature almost immediately, reading through the Stannson families library within months, the works of Shakespeare and Farley Mowat being of particular interest to him. He managed to convince Elias to ask his Drama teacher if he could work in one of the high schools production. And, while she was hesitant at first Ben had managed to score his first small role in the schools production of The Gallows Thief. At 16 he decided to leave the family so that he could find his fortune in the world. Both Elias and his mom had been very resistant to this, but in the end he was able to convince the two that it was for the best. From then on, he worked very hard to make a name for himself, and eventually was getting offers left and right to act in different performances. He was able to get his high school diploma through a program funded by one of the actresses he'd befriended.
